In the fall of 2005, the PACK (People of Alimagnet Caring for K9s) formally opened a brand new Special Needs Dog Run on the northwest corner of the main park near the children's play area.

This area is set aside for small, timid, fragile, and elderly dogs. Like the main park, it has its own double-gated safety entrance and pick-up bag dispenser.

The PACK is looking for volunteers to design and/or build a shelter and picnic table for the Special Needs Dog Run, and welcomes additional suggestions from users.
