Features of Our Award-Winning Park:
 |
Dog Washing Station: In
the summer, park users have free use of a dog-washing station
across the parking lot from the dog park's main gates.
(Note: This water is not suitable for human consumption.) |
| |
|
 |
Double-Entry Gates: The
double gates are intended to allow you and your dog to enter
and exit the park without allowing other dogs to enter or exit
the park. |
| |
|
 |
Pick-Up Bags: Free
pick-up bags are supplied by park sponsors and kept stocked
by volunteers. Please pick up after your dog! |
| |
|
 |
Pond: The pond
is a natural wetland that grows duckweed in the summer.
Gravel is purchased and spread on the beach by volunteers to
control erosion and minimize muddy paws. Please do not
throw gravel into the pond. |
| |
|
 |
Weather Shelter:
Volunteers purchased and built the weather shelter in 2004.
In 2006, a donor contributed timed heaters and a heated water
bowl. Park patrons haul in water and keep this area clean.
|
| |
|
 |
Special Needs Dog Run:
In 2005, the PACK (People of
Alimagnet Caring for K9s) opened a Special
Needs Dog Run for small, timid, fragile, and elderly dogs.
Like the main park, the Special Needs Dog Run has its own double-gated
safety entrance and pick-up bag dispenser. |
| |
|
 |
Night Lights: In
2006, a donor provided lighting for the park, making it possible
to use the park on winter evenings. Lights come on at
dawn and turn off at 10:00 p.m. daily. |
